which lip shade to buy?

Great lips glorify the face- so all the effort to get that wonderful pout is always worth it.

It can be quite tricky however, to get the shade hat flatters your lips. Given the astronomical prices of good cosmetics, trial and error method is just not affordable- atleast not all the time.

Try the quick tips:

1. Go for a shade or two darker than your actual lip color. This helps to emhasize your pout.

2. If you are fair skinned, nude shades would be great for you. Don't use too dark shades

3. If you have a medium complexion, you can go for darker shades like rose, berries, burgundy etc

4. Chocolate/ dark coffee is ideal for dark skins.

5. 'Mix and Match' techniques go well with lipsticks also. So if you have already purchased all the wrongshades, dont dismay, blend them wih proper lip liners(use dull lip liner for bright lipsticks and the like), try blending different colours to suit the costume and the occasion, it might work, plus you can give yourself a pat for your creativity and thrift.

how to prevent your skin from aging faster: Must Know!!!

Moisturize your skin regularly: The scorching heat and pollution are the greatest enemies to your skin. Skin robbed of moisture tends to age faster. All skin types need appropriate moisturising- choose the appropriate products. Best time to leave them on is during night time

Take special care of skin under the eyes: This skin is more easily prone to darkening and drying, and if ot properly cared for adds long years to your face. Use proper under eye repair creams during night or apply castor oil around the eyes before going off to sleep

Never go easy on sun block. Sun Screens with SPF in 20-50 range are available all over the market. Keep REAPPLYING them from time to time, as most of them are water based, may get washed off with sweat. Hence they need re-application from time to time

Drink lots of water: Plain common sense- keep your entire body hydrated.

Cut down on coffees and teas- no more than 2 cups a day please! caffiene dehydrates when consumed too much.

Sweat out: the pores get cleaned and closed. Toxins inside the body are flushed out. The skin becomes beautiful inside out!!!

Last but the most important- SMILE and Be Happy!

Tips for skin cleansing

For an acne-free and glowing skin, proper cleansing is of utmost importance.

There is no one size that fits all when it comes to cleansing. It is important to understand your skin type before you think of planning a cleansing routine. Some general tips for skin cleansing however would be:

1. Dont use too hot or cold water for cleansing. Luke warm water is the best bet.

2. Avoid using bar soaps as they can have a drying effect on the skin. Use milder products for facewash depending on your skin type. Natural products like besan and milk/ turmeric more often than not work excellently.

3. Avoid pinching your acne, it leaves ugly blemishes.

4. Make sure you clean your face immediately after exposure to dirt and pollution, thus you can avoid further damage to your pores from being clogged.

5.Dont use too abrasive washclothes or cleansing pads on your face, they aggrevate inflammation.

6. Avoid scrubbing at the under eye area, the skin there is too sensitive.

7. Washing your face with plain water from time to time also is a good option. It even revitalizes the skin.

Effective self help tips to alleviate low back pain/sciatica form disk herniation

Oh.. no! that annoying low back pain and sciatica once again :(
Try these:

1. Stop doing strenous physical activity and lie down. Rest is known to cure a majority of sicknesses, thanks to th wonderful capability of the human body to auto cure itself. But be careful not to go for prolonged bed rest, unless until advised by your physician. ideally after 24- 48 hrs of bed rest, slowly start resuming your daily activities, putting as minimum stress as possible on your back.
2. Avoid bending from your waist at all costs, esp, lifting heavy items while bending from waist is a strict no. Always, choose a posture that makes your back feel relaxed - ideally choosing chairs that provide good lumbar support.
3. While sleeping, sleep on your sides with knees folded at right angles to your trunk and have a pillow between your knees, it eases the pressure on the disk.
4. Take adequate amounts of vitamin/ mineral supplements, Multivitamin- mineral tablets do a good job in speeding up the recovery. Vitamin C especially has a good effect on helping the disk auto- repair/ stabilise itself.
5. Keep your body hydrated at regular intervals. This helps to prvent dehydration and the disk and ensures supplessness of the body on the whole and the disks, in particular.
6. Give your body atleast a mild exercise daily. Exercise ensures proper blood circulation. The blood is the oxygen carrier to every part of the body. when the blood circulation is proper, the disks can rejuventate themselves with the required materials quickly.
